The Butt Lift

    Dear Family and Friends,

Most of you know I went in for a small surgical procedure for a butt lift. I did not have the most pleasant of experiences. I wanted to show you how it turned out. Please, refrain from getting this procedure.
    You
    will regret it!

    Much Love,
    P.S. I sent a picture below...

Nosequatch -- Tourist Scene Tourist Seen XV

One day I got real tired of tourists taking pictures of me, so I decided to photograph tourists. After all, many of them are more ... shall we say fascinating than Walmart people. Thus my Tourist Scene Tourist Seen photo essay feature was born.

So we were out for a Sunday drive, and as we were in front of the British Colonial Hilton, the numbers of tourists on the street start to increase. I popped out my camera. I took the above photo of tourists as they were crossing in front of us at a cross walk. I didn't think nothing of the photo.

On closer inspection, I was amazed at the size of the schnozz on the woman. She has the biggest nose that I have ever seen. She is a candidate for the elephant ward when it comes to rhinoplasty. She needs a nose job badly.

There is some good news. It would be helpful when she has to inhale peanuts. And Lord help her if she sniffs cocaine. However each to his own, and vive le difference.

Ghetto Spring Break

I had a blog entry about "Thank God that Spring Break is Over". I tell you, sometimes words fail me when it comes to the ghetto subculture.

I think that this is a Superman variant.

And this hula dancer is a nightmare:

And today's musical offering is appropriately entitled "Curtains" -- incidentally my favourite Elton John song. The way that Elton dressed would fit right in here.

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 14 - On Incontinence

One nice thing about living in a tourist resort, is that one can go down to Marina Village at Atlantis, and listen to the live bands for free. When I take a break, I sometimes do that. I sit on the long, winding, white concrete bench in front of the luxury yachts, and listen to the band at the Bimini Road.

I had my camera with me, because a regular feature of mine on this blog is Tourist Scene Tourist Seen, where I turn the cameras on the tourists and photograph them.

So I am sitting there listening to the band when a tourist couple sits beside me. All of a sudden, I notice a yellow liquid flowing from out from under the woman, and down the white bench. I couldn't believe my eyes.

There are clean public washrooms all over the place at Marina Village, and yet this woman went when the spirit moved her. Then she got up and behaved as nothing happened. Your intrepid reporter caught the images for posterity.

I could not believe the audacity. One cannot Depends on the propriety of the tourists. Have they no shame?

As a perfect accompaniment to this blog entry, the musical offering today is Water Music by George Friedrich Handel.

A Music Critic

I took the above photo in Marina Village. The steel drum band was playing. I didn't notice until afterwards, the kid in the corner of the picture. Is he being critical of the music?

And speaking of music, this is my morning music today:

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 13

Just for the fun of it, I used to photograph tourists because they photographed me as if I were an inhabitant in a zoo.

I am going through my collection of specimens, and this one popped out at me. Look closely at the woman. She is carrying a huge white formal sun hat. At least this couple is wearing helmets. The footwear is kind of dodgy. I used to see tourists getting hurt on the time on rented scooters.

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 12

This is my 12th entry in my photo series "Tourist Scene Tourist Seen". I was struck with the inspiration when tourists would photograph me as part of the scenery in Nassau. I would reciprocate by taking pictures of them. It has become an interesting photo essay when seen in its entirety.

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 11 -- The Generic Tourist

The weather has been cool, windy and "funny" lately. I haven't been swimming for days. Yesterday our walk on the beach was quite coolish, and the water was roily. The waves were high. I photoshopped a pic of Cabbage Beach:

But I do have an entry for my series of Tourist Scene Tourist Seen. This is where I photograph tourists instead of them photographing me as a resident of the islands.

The reason why the tourists below caught my eye is because they didn't initially. It struck me that here are avatars for the generic tourist. Mostly all of them look like this (except the girls in the swimsuits of course -- but that's a different story and if I start collecting pics of scantily clad nubile young bodies, the Lovely One will intervene. You can take the excuse "it's for my blog" only so far).

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 10 -- Lady In Red

I watch the tourists. The tourists watch me. This is easy to do when you live in a tropical resort town. This blog entry is my continuing photo essay on tourist watching. I call it "Tourist Scene -- Tourist Seen". Usually the tourists are like WalMart people.

Today's entry makes the grade because she is dressed so classy. This is the Lady in Red tourist.

The picture below is that as she steams away into the crowd.

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 9

My continuing series is Tourist Scene Tourist Seen. It is a photo essay depicting tourists. Normally tourists take pictures of everything including me in Nassau, so I am reciprocating and taking pictures of tourists.

This woman was waiting in line for a refreshment truck by the cruise ship wharf.

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 8

In my continuing series "Tourist Scene, Tourist Seen" photo essay of tourists in Nassau, I came across this scene on Woodes Rodgers Walk along the wharf. A taxi driver dressed in a suit engages a tourist in deep conversation. In the background is a tug boat, The Cassandra 5, out of Singapore. And behind that, is a Carnival cruise ship with just one of the stacks showing.

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 7

I was at the Nassau side of the Paradise Island Ferry (such a deal $3.00 to cross the harbour -- a cab will cost you $12 plus $1 for toll to cross the bridge). I spied the tourist on the left and he immediately reminded me of Rene Angelil -- the creepy husband of singer Celine Dion.

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 6

This is why it is never a good idea to rent a scooter when rain threatens in Nassau. Just the slightest bit of rain floods Nassau. In all of the Bahamas, the highest place in the archipelago is Mount Alvernia on Cat Island, and it is only two hundred feet above sea level.

These two are lucky that their scooter never died when the air intake gets flooded. I have seen that happen many a time.

But tourists think that they are just getting a bit wet. Let me tell you about the streets of Nassau. That nice warm rain water is a veritable stew of bacteria, from the potcake crap (wild dogs of Nassau), to homeless men urinating in public, to all sorts of rat feces from the millions of rats that inhabit the docks, to the tropical pathogens like nematodes and schistomiasis. Quite a nice foot bath actually.

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 5

Continuing in the series "Tourists Scene Tourist Seen", today's entry is a medical warning. Renting a scooter causes a malady where you are unable to keep your mouth shut if you are driving. Tourists Beware. I can't make out what the drivers are saying, but it sounds like "Holy $(*&#$".

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen II

In my continuing photo essay series called "Tourist Scene Tourist Seen" I have these two offerings. Although they are not strictly tourists, they work in the tourist industry, which still qualifies them as subjects.

Tourist Scene Tourist Seen 1

After a very very slow September, tourism is picking up in these islands. I am hoping that "Tourist Scene Tourist Seen" becomes a regular feature of this blog. Watching tourists affords some great people watching.

I ran into this couple on the bridge.
