[AD] Red Letters of Love Project

Here's a new project out there which gets my vote. I always admire the love of the DBSK Fandom. ^_^ Have a read..!

Red Letters of Love

What It's About
DBSK fans become penpals with children in hospitals/orphanages. Spread the love by reaching out to people all over the world.

The Letters
1. We contact other fansites/forums.
2. Fans will submit their name and country to us.
3. We (AOE) compile the fan list and find hospitals/nursing homes/orphanages that have possible penpals.
4. We send each fan the address and name of their fellow penpal.
5. Fans purchase a red envelope (and small, flat gifts if they want)
6. Fans write a letter, sign it at the very end as, "__(NAME)___, a DBSK fan".
7. Fans send it (postage stamps and all) to their penpal.

Donations
1. We either ask for donations on a site, or redirect them HERE onto AOE (as is the case for Soompi Forums).
2. We collect as much as we can, and send the donations to WFP in the name of DBSK.

[ACTS] Cassiopeians donate to the Fruit of Love charity

On behalf of Xiah Junsu's birthday on the 1st, his fans had decided to donate 9 million won (approx. $6,700) to a Korean Charity called "Fruit of Love." This donation was made under Junsu's name and has been made for the past few years. The fans stated that "rather than a present, we thought that it would be bigger and more meaningful to donate to a charity under Xiah Junsu's name."

Another group of fans, from the fan site DNBN, had also collected and donated 5 million won (approx. $3,700) to the charity for DBSK's 5th year anniversary.

Ah, those lovable Cassiopeians. You kids need to learn from these unnies (and oppas, I guess).

Source: AllKpop

From sharingyoochun@wordpress:

Recently, instead of spending all of their fanclub’s money to buy bling bling for the boys, Cassiopeia spare some of it for the needs.

On last December 14th, at Kwangwoon University’s Auditorium where Junsu’s fanclub members celebrated Xiah Junsu’s birthday titled XIAHDAY, 2000 fans gathered, instead of making a simple single party, they had a fund-raising event.

In this event, the fans sold a lot of cute stuffs such as wallet, cellphone ring, mouse pad, earrings, and other XIAH goods which successfully proceed 4.000.000 won (US$ 4000) that has been donated through Fruit of Love in the name of Xiah Junsu.

The donation certificate then was forwarded to Junsu as a birthday gift from them.

Junsu got his birthday present, and now the whole 5 also got their precious present to commemorate their 5 year debut anniversary.

At the 5th anniversary concert, shockingly some fans came not only to meet the boys, but also held a fund raising event right on the spot and successfully gained $500.

Not only from the on-the-spot fund raising, these Cassie, who held their event by the name “DNBN 2nd DONATION LOVETIC” also had had on line fund raising from December 9th to December 26th.

HAHAHA ~ TVXQ Attacks a Female High School

Sorry I am a few days late in putting this up... I had meant to right after the Japanese "school attack" show below (which if any of you have not watched, is great way to cheer-up ^^).

A newly released version for the HAHAHA commerical [well techically its not a commercial but a public message] for Samsung's campaign to spread happiness and laughter in these depressing times (i.e. recession). This time, the CF features high school students studying...encouranging them to cheer up and be positive~

SCHOOL ATTACK Version

^ From what I have read, the students in this class had no idea they were going to show up! TVXQ made a random "surprise attack," on a female high school and performed the "Hahaha" campaign song. The students blogged about this online after it was filmed and alot of people from other schools commented wishing they were the lucky ones to get this close-up exclusive performance XD The students in the school said they would be working even harder in their studies now that DBSK gave them this encouraging message.

DANCE Version

BTW, Goodluck to all those that have exams!

[ACTS] Yunho donates 600,000 won for Scholarship fund

Yunho of popular boy band, Dong bang shin ki visited his old high school, Kwang-il High school on January 2nd to pay respects to his teachers in the New Year. After meeting his teachers and signing for his hubaes (juniors), the DBSK member set up a scholarship fund of 600,000 won for 6 students. Afterwards, Yunho took 70 of the school people out to lunch (and hopefully paid).

And in parting, Yunho told his younger classmates to “dream big.”

TVXQsoul reported:

Alumni TVXQ leader Yunho with his parents visited his alma mater Kwangil High School, 5 years after graduating last February 2004 when he was 19.

Yunho paid for the scholarships of 6 junior students and met with the principal and his previous teachers. He also had an autograph signing session and gave an inspirational speech for the success of the dreams of the students through having passion and then had a picture taken with some of his fans.

[SHOW] Dreams Come True: DBSK's Surprise Appearance at Japanese High School

OMG. I totally DIED with laughter, joy, and surprise watching this. This is like EVERY FAN'S DREAM COME TRUE! 3 lucky high schools got to realize this dream. [From TBS's show Sanma Tamaos Lets Help Your Dream Come True - Special.]

You must, I repeat YOU MUST watch this! It is currently one of the most-watched videos in Japan and Korea (under different links) You won't even need subs {English subs are out!}...the reactions alone are must-sees! I will try to put the download up for this in a couple of hours.

I highly recommend seeing the videos in Large HD quality here:

Part 2: http://youtube.com/watch?v=DIpxTgIvZmI&fmt=18

[Spoiler: This a SPECIAL episode, similar to the Korean "School Attack"/"School of Rock" show, however this program usually doesn't do this sort of thing. They did this surprise because the girls once revealed to TBS on camera that they wished to see the "cool" guys of Tohoshinki who are "awesome dancers" and dance with them. Well, they got their wish and some! Very touching episode and even more exciting and personal than School Attack.

If you didn't get the gist of what happened at the end of part 1, the girls are asked to learn the dance steps of Purple Line in a few hours and then perform in front of the ENTIRE school (on national television too!) with DBSK.]

Xiah Junsu’s fans donate in his name for birthday

Very similar to how TVXQ Yunho's (U-Know) fans donated to charity in his name, Xiah Junsu's fans have collected 8,000,000 won, to donate to children with hearing disabilities under Xiah's name for his birthday.

Xiah's fan cafe (Xiah Seoul) stated:
As music lovers, we felt the right thing to do was help children who couldn't hear, regain their ability to hear. This will not be a one-time deal, we have plans to continue to help children hear again.
Source: AllKpop

Xiahmaru cafe donated around 2.15 million won to charity as well. They also provided gifts and food for the old folks without families. And they are donating around 110,000 won to World Vision every month. Of course, everything goes under Junsu’s name.

DBSK's HAHAHA Song - All 5 Members! (ENG SUB)

From mickytoho (uploader + translator):
So, finally! The mystery is no more! The NoKy Brothers HAHAHA Song is part of Samsung's campaign for spreading encouragement - to share laughs & smiles - during these hard times.
So its not a commercial, but a public msg campaign.^^ Very unexpected hahaha! How interesting!^^
I think the message is "when going gets tough, tough gets going! so cheer up!"^^
The NoKy Brothers and DBSK did make me (and all of the viewers) laugh and smile, and made my day, so the campaign has already worked!!!^^

DBSK is so cute!

DBSK Inspires Charitable Donations; Fans donate 20 million won

Recent fancams of DBSK members with a blind piano prodigy melted hearts all over the world, while the comeback stage made fangirls scream their heads off. Now, leader Yunho’s fans give him a truly special gift.

After their first promotional performance on the 28th, Yunho’s fans gave him a receipt of a donation made in his name to a children’s foundation, in the amount of 20,000,000 won ($17,000 US).

Yunho was very touched by this gesture, and said this was the best present he could have hoped for, especially since he refused the fans’ extravagant birthday presents to him, and asked them to give the presents to those who need them more. It seems the fans really listened.

Some may say the boys are boring goody two-shoes, but I say DBSK is exactly what idols should be: inspiring and talented role models.

Now this is what I call fandom. The people at withyoonho collected and made such a huge difference to the lives of so many kids in just 4 weeks! Way to go.

[ARTICLE] TVXQ'S VOICES HELPED WAKE A FAN WHO'S IN COMA

(Original Article)

21 years old, Zhuang Xiao Han is a die-hard fan of Korean famous boyband, TVXQ. Last year, she got into an accident and was seriously injured. The doctor announced that she will not be able to live more than 3 days. Zhuang's mum did not give up, she played TVXQ songs 24 hours everyday, and her daughter woke up! Zhuang's mum said, "I really thank TVXQ for letting me see a miracle."

Doctor expresses admiration.

Last year March, around 11pm at night, Zhuang Xiao Han was riding her bike home and got into an accident. She was sent to the Xiao Gang Hospital (小港醫院), doctor said that her head was seriously injured and she will not be able to live more than 3 days.

Zhuang's mum sobs and said, " I know she really likes TVXQ, so I played TVXQ songs everyday, in hope that she will survive. I don't care if she will become a vegetable, as long as she survive." Alas, she survived the 3 days, and was in a coma for 7 months, until one day, she miraculously woke up.

Zhuang's mum smiled and said, "I played TVXQ songs everyday, until the cd player spoilt. When she woke up, the first thing she said to her Dad was, to help her buy TVXQ's new album."

TVXQ will be having a concert at Taipei next month, 10th May 2008. Xiao Han's story spreads around Cassiopeias online. When the organiser of the concert heard of this news, they gave Xiao Han VIP tickets to TVXQ concert, a voucher to stay at Wang Han Hotel (王朝飯店) and a TVXQ album. During the period of her coma, Xiao Han went through a total of 5 operations.

When she received TVXQ Concert tickets, she was so happy and she tried her best to say, "Thank You."

U-Know YunHo, 'Will only receive feelings' for B-day Present.

U-Know YunHo, 'Will only receive feelings' for B-day Present.
【서울=뉴시스】

DBSK's U-Know YunHo(22) who had his birthday on the 6th rejected the presents his fans sent him.

U-Know YunHo who is doing activities in Japan came back to Korea to celebrate the New Years holiday, sent a word to his fanclub that he could not accept the gifts. The gifts his fans showed included a computer, notebook [could either be a regular notebook or laptop IDK which one they mean], synthesizer, digital camera, and an electric shaver among other things and gathered millions of won for them.

YunHo said "He was touched by the sincerity of the fans' aspiration. He was happy because he was able to feel how cherished he was" but then stated that "wouldn't it be better if the things the fans gathered with their loving hearts were given to others who needed a bigger helping hand. I think that if the presents could be distributed to those fostering their dreams under harder circumstances, (the fans') feelings will be used more nobly"

It was found out that U-Know YunHo had rejected his presents every year. The fanclub respects YunHo's wishes and plan to donate the gifts somewhere else.
