Intel AppUp: Re-defining PC Apps

Intel has stepped into the software bandwagon with the launch of its AppUp program which is an “app store” for Windows PCs, that allows users to browse a centralized catalog of applications for purchase or free download to a netbook or other personal computing device. The AppUp developer program also allows users to create, upload and sell their cool apps in the market. You can download the Intel AppUp center at http://www.intel.com/appup.

Being a travel enthusiast, the Travel related apps were really encouraging. The ATM locator which will help you finding the nearest ATM anywhere of 24 popular banks, is quite a handy app during travelling as you can travel without the hassle of carrying lots of money as also don't have to get mad searching for an ATM in the place of visit. You can download it here: http://www.appup.com/applications/applications-ATM+Locator

Then there is the weather guide which is quite a handy app during everyday travel, so you know about climate changes before hand without having to return with gloomy faces, if the weather is incremental.

Arrival Guide: It acts a good guide for travellers cruising through unknown places which gives you access to 400 destination guides. All of the guides are fully packed with restaurants, sightseeing, maps, cosy cafes, cool bars and clubs, sights, events and much more.

There are lots of other Major city specific guide apps too to help you in travelling those destinations. Just browse through the travel section to get lots of cool apps to ease your travel needs.

This blog is an entry to the "My Favorite PC App" contest. Check out numerous apps for PC/Netbooks available at the Intel AppUp Center. If you are looking for an opportunity to build and monetize your applications, check out the Intel® Atom™ Developer Program.
