Indian flavour for Zune & Kindle

Zune HD media player and Windows based Phone users in India looking for apps for their devices have now something to cheer for. After a long wait, Microsoft finally released the Zune Marketplace for India. You can open an account now with India as your country and get payment options in Indian currency for purchasing software and applications.

In another related development the popular e-book reader, Kindle from Amazon is now available through Indian online shopping sites with the option to pay in Indian currencies. Earlier it could have been only purchased from the international Amazon site with no payment option in Indian currency. Currently the Kindle is avilable in 3 variants with the basic one costing around Rs. 8,950 while the 3G and WiFi enabled Kindle costing around Rs. 11,850.
