Windows 8

After the grand success of Windows 7, Microsoft has already started work on its next iteration of the most popular Operating system in the world and this time it has been codenamed Windows 8. Reports are coming out that Microsoft has already begun shipping early builds of Windows 8 to key OEMs and is also being distributed via Connect. If you google a bit you'll find lots of leaked screenshots of the installation guide and other features.

The only official release by Microsoft relating to the newly developed OS was provided in the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, that Windows 8 will add support for ARM processors in addition to the present x86 architecture. Feature wise a new System reset feature has been leaked wherein the hassle of re-installing a system will be completely removed and you can go back to your original factory settings.

Along with it reports are abound that even Office 15 and Internet Explorer 10 is already under works with some reports suggesting IE 10 being shipped with Win 8. The Windows 8 public beta is expected to be released by September 2011, after which the release candidate and probable launch in 2012 or early 2013.
