Finally Swimmable

Well, the ocean is finally swimmable, and I swam this stretch of Cabbage Beach for the first time since I got here in early January. It was coolish, but a good swim.

An interesting thing with the current was happening. To the right (you can't see it in this pic) is a yellow house that marks the halfway point of my swim. Usually it takes me ten minutes to swim to it from the far point (visible in this pic). Yesterday, I reached it in five minutes, and began to ascribe it to my fitness etc.

I was wrong. It was a weird current thing. The last half took me fifteen minutes to swim whereas it usually takes me ten minutes. So all in all, it evened out to my usual twenty minute swim.

Take a look in the distance at the palm trees between this pic and the one at the top of the blog taken two years ago. Notice how many of the tall palm trees that have died.

On another note, I was surfing Youtube, and came across this song from Slovakia. Enjoy:

(I think the title means: I Am Still Yours)
