Iceland is generally defined as the land of ice and fire, but it is equally true that this land of wild and untouched beauty is also known by most experts as the ground water, water is indeed present in all its forms, mighty glaciers flowing from the hinterland to the ocean becoming infinite number of times in shows vertical or thundering water leaking from under the impetuous form of impressive geyser.


The Svartifoss Skaftafell National Park (southwest margins of the glacier Vatnajökull) is known for its basalt columns that surround it as a sort of natural amphitheater.
