December Discombobulation

I move back and forth between the cold north and the tropics and it is highly discombobulating. Yesterday morning at 5:30 AM I was clearing a couple of inches of snow off the car to go to the airport and yesterday evening I was attending a shirt-sleeve meeting in the open-air Starbucks patio and 81 degrees Fahrenheit outside. And all the while, the Lovely One was winging her way to Paris to stay with a fashion designer friend of hers at a pied a terre in a trendy arrondissement of the City of Light. It is just December the first discombobulation for me.

I meant to do my swim at Cabbage Beach as soon as I arrived on Paradise Island, however a work colleague picked me up at the airport, and I had to dash off to another meeting at the Sheraton, still dressed in my Euro loafers and jeans.

I am typing this at an early hour this morning before my morning coffee and I notice that another article has "tipped" or found high interest on the Cosmological Cabbage blog. It is the Baby With the Lacefront Wig which you can see by clicking HERE. It is quite obvious what the masses want, and it is eye candy novelty. Luckily there is a lot of that around.

On the other hand, Nature's eye candy in the picture above is a milkweed pod that I snapped in my final walk on Pine Road in the Gatineau Hills before I left for the islands in the stream.

This is the music that I am listening to as I sip my morning coffee and ponder this strange life of mine.
